Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.
Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.
Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

I am female, aged 52, I live in my own house, with support. I have Autism, Epilepsy and need support to keep my mental health stable.
I find change difficult and need my support staff to be friendly, patient and understanding especially if I get upset. When my Mental Health is low I struggle to do daily activities so need you to be extra patient.
My staff are trained in Autism, Learning Disability, Positive Behaviour Support, Mental Health and Epilepsy. As well as many other mandatory training requirements.

  • I like to get out and about, I like having my hair and nails done, I like to talk to my friends and I have a boyfriend who I like to see regularly.
  • I go shopping with my staff and I go to a few evening clubs where I take part in bingo and raffles, I like to take part and sometimes I win.
  • I am a shy person when it comes to meeting new people and sometimes this can affect how I communicate with people as I will speak quieter.
  • I like people to be adaptable to my mood, so I need people who are happy friendly and fun, so when I am not feeling my best, they can help me to lift my mood by doing the things I enjoy when I want to do them. I want someone who is patient and calm in a crisis, especially if I have a seizure. I want someone who is happy to sit and talk to me as well as sometimes to sit in silence if I do not want to talk.
Other Information
  • I have 1-1 staff 24/7, I need you to be able to sleep over so I have someone in my house overnight if I need you.
  • My support staff will work a variety of different shifts between 7am and 10pm, some o of my stall will work a long day and the do the sleep over and go home, others might do the early shift(7-2.30pm) and others do a late shift, (2.30-10pm) I only need 1 staff with me at any time, depending on how many hours you are contracted the number of shifts can vary between 1 and 5 days
