Job summary

Cygnet Long Eaton Day Service is seeking an experienced Bank Support Worker to join our team. You’ll work flexible bank hours across days Monday-Friday, supporting individuals with a learning disability and those with complex health needs in Long Eaton.

We value excellent communication, teamwork, and a passion for empowering service users to live as independently as possible. Full training and DBS clearance are provided as part of your induction.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in a support setting working with learning disabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Caring and understanding with energy to provide a trusting, stimulating environment.
• Passionate about empowering service users to maintain independence.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical & welfare needs.
• Report on medical & welfare needs as required.
• Safeguard all patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for an experienced Bank Support Worker to join our team working at Cygnet Long Eaton Day Service. We specialise in supporting individuals with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, in addition to those with complex health needs, physical disabilities and those with autism. We have a long history of enhancing the quality of life of the individuals who attend the service.

You’ll be working flexible bank hours a week (days shifts Monday-Friday), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Long Eaton Day Service.

• Experienced for 1 year plus in a support setting working with learning disabilities
• An excellent communicator and a good team player
• Caring and understanding with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
