Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare is seeking a Support Worker for Long Eaton Day Service. The role involves 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts Monday to Friday, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.

The successful candidate will have 1+ year experience in a support setting, be an excellent communicator and team player, and be passionate about empowering service users. DBS checks are required and the service offers full training and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals' specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs.
• Report on medical and welfare needs as required.
• Safeguard all patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for an experienced Support Workerto join our team working at Long Eaton Day Service. Youll be working40 hours a week, 8 hour day shifts Monday-Friday only,making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care atLong Eaton Day Service. Long Eaton Day Services specialises in supporting individuals with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, in addition to those with complex health needs, physical disabilities and those with autism. We have a long history of enhancing the quality of life of the individuals who attend the service.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Driven with a desire to make a real difference in peoples lives
• Experienced for 1 year plus in a support setting working with learning disabilities
• An excellent communicator and a good team player
• Caring and understanding with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
• Passionate about empowering & supporting service user independence

Your day-to-day:
