Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking experienced Bank Support Workers (Learning Disabilities) to work flexible ad hoc shifts at Cygnet Wast Hills in England. The role offers days, nights, weekends or occasional shifts, with supportive teams and a focus on person-centred care.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years' healthcare experience, preferably with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Challenging Behaviour, and be committed to promoting independence and safeguarding. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years' experience working within healthcare (ideally with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Challenging Behaviour)

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Cooperate with other members of the nursing team to ensure the ward meets any therapeutic needs of the patient, which are conducive to recovery
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• At all times, ensure that the patient's rights and dignity are maintained.
• Report on medical & welfare needs as required
• Safeguard all patients and visitors to the service
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
• Use innovative methods to improve patient care
• Support and care for a variety of Service Users with acute mental health needs
• Pass on to qualified staff any information or concerns brought to your attention

Cygnet Wast Hills provides dedicated, person-centred support to men with learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs in a robust environment.

The service has a number of independent and communal living spaces for the individuals we support, to maximise opportunities to progress through their care pathway towards greater independence.

To be considered for this role, you must have:
