Job summary

Cygnet Walkern Lodge is seeking an experienced Bank Support Worker to join our team at Walkern Lodge. You will work bank hours, delivering compassionate support to adults with learning disabilities in a residential setting.

We welcome candidates with at least 1 year of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and a caring, proactive approach. A DBS check is required; the role includes training and access to staff benefits.

• 1 year plus experience in a support setting working with learning disabilities and mental health
• Excellent communicator and a good team player
• Caring and understanding with energy to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
• Passionate about empowering & supporting service user independence

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for an experienced Bank Support Worker to join our team working at Cygnet Walkern Lodge.

You'll be working bank hours, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care.

Walkern Lodge is a residential home providing care for adults with learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge and associated complex needs.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Driven with a desire to make a real difference in people's lives
• Experienced for 1 year plus in a support setting working with learning disabilities and mental health
• An excellent communicator and a good team player
• Caring and understanding with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
