Job summary

Agincare Group is looking for a Bank Senior Care Assistant at Agincourt Care Home in Weymouth. You will provide person-centered care, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

Flexibility for night and weekend shifts is required, with responsibilities including medication administration, care reviews, and supporting new staff as needed. This is a bank role within a supportive, welcoming team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care required.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or working towards is required/aiming for.
• Right to work in the UK for at least 12 months is required.
• Flexibility to work night and weekend shifts as needed.
• Experience as a Bank Senior Care Assistant or similar in a care home is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care including bathing, dressing and oral care per residents' preferences.
• Contribute to and carry out care reviews to reflect residents' needs.
• Administer residents' medications safely and compliantly.
• Lead and participate in social activities and outings within the home.
• Support and mentor new starters or existing staff as needed.

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• NVQ Level 2 - Health and Social care qualification
• NVQ Level 3 - Health and Social Care qualification or be working towards
• Bank Senior Care Assistant role, for this role you must have the flexibility to work night and weekend shifts as and when required
• Daytime shifts are from 8am to 8pm and night shifts are from 8pm to 8am

A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant

• Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence
• Review -You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs.
• Medication - You will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive and compliant way
• Social Activity - You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
• Leadership - you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up on to lead the home where more senior managers are not available.
