Job summary

Agincare Group is seeking a Bank Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in our residential settings. You will support residents with daily activities, coordinate with families and professionals, and ensure safe medication administration while maintaining up-to-date clinical documentation.

The role offers flexibility to cover day, night and weekend shifts, with all mandatory training fully funded and access to our pension scheme. This is a bank position across our care homes in the UK.

Qualifications

• 12 months right to work in the UK.
• A valid NMC pin without restrictions.
• Evidence of recent clinical CPD.
• Experience working in a care home setting.
• Flexibility to work day, night and weekend shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care per care plans.
• Liaise with management, families, social workers and medical staff to meet needs.
• Administer and record medication safely per policy.
• Monitor nutrition and hydration and adjust plans as needed.
• Monitor pressure risks and toilet output.
• Support and promote resident activities.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• A valid, in date NMC pin without restrictions to practice
• Evidence of recent clinical CPD
• You must have previous experience working in a care home setting
• As this is a Bank Registered Nurse position you must have the flexibility to work day, night and weekend shifts as and when required.

A day in the life of a Registered Nurse

As aRegistered Nurse,you will be responsible for motivating, mentoring and developing a team of care staff in ensuring that the residents' clinical needs are attended to. You will be organised and ready to adapt to challenges, you will have the expertise you need to provide professional, safe, high quality care and support .

Responsibilities will include

• Assisting residents with personal care in accordance with their individual care plans
• Liaising with care home management, family members, social workers, medical professionals and the resident themselves in ensuring the care provision meets their individual requirements and making recommendations based on changes in care need .
• Administering and recording medication safely in line with company policy
• Monitoring resident nutrition and hydration and taking steps to update nutrition plans with any revised dietary requirements.
• Monitoring residents for risks around pressure wounds and any abnormalities regarding toilet output.
• Participating in, and promoting resident activities.
