In palliative care, no day is the same. Working on our inpatient unit offers a unique opportunity to care for patients with a variety of conditions and symptoms.
If you want to develop your knowledge of different conditions and their impact on patients and families, a role in palliative care with Sue Ryder is ideal.
Our nurses provide compassionate, holistic care for patients with life-limiting illnesses, addressing medical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs for both patients and their families.
Our Bank registered nurses work flexible shifts including early, late, long days, nights, and weekends. As this role supports a 24/7 service, flexibility to work various shifts is required.
Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice is the only specialist palliative care inpatient unit in Peterborough, supporting adults with conditions like cancer, heart failure, and lung disease. Our team combines medical care with emotional, practical, and spiritual support. We also offer a Hospice at Home service, providing end-of-life care at patients' homes.

The successful candidates will be integral to our multidisciplinary team, working alongside doctors, therapy staff, volunteers, and other team members, adopting a holistic approach to patient care.
