Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse - Low Intensity Support Team

Exciting opportunity: Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse - Low Intensity Support Team in Lewisham, UK. This contract offers £27 per hour on a 3-month full-time locum basis (Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00). An experienced Registered CPN is urgently needed to join our community service team. The role provides vital support to a diverse range of service users with flexible locum work advantages.

What you will do
  • Engagement: Manage a large caseload of low-intensity service users, with routine 3-month checks and ensuring timely dispensing of injectable medication.
  • Support: Provide comprehensive care coordination, collaborating with service users and carers using a recovery-focused approach. Assist clients in accessing necessary services, support, and entitlements.
  • Interventions: Deliver tailored health and social care interventions that respect the needs of Black and minority ethnic service users. Support the administration of injectable medication and promote adherence at the Clozapine Clinic.
  • Clozapine Clinic: Participate in the Lewisham Clozapine Clinic on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with training provided on Point-of-care equipment.
  • Families and Carers: Engage families and carers in treatment planning and provide psychoeducation. Ensure their needs are assessed and addressed with appropriate care services.
