Job summary

Ole & Steen in Oxford is seeking friendly staff to join our bakery cafe team. You will greet guests, guide menu choices, process orders on the till, handle payments, and keep the service area clean and stocked.

Ideal candidates have excellent customer service, clear communication, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility for full-time or part-time shifts is preferred. Training provided and staff discounts apply.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with a diverse clientele.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity to operate coffee equipment and handle hot beverages safely.
• Tolerance for working in a noisy and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Make all our guests feel welcome and greet them warmly as they enter and leave.
• Share your passion for food and drinks by advising on menu choices.
• Enter orders accurately on the till and take payments promptly.
• Ensure money handling is secure and balanced at shift end.
• Maintain stock levels, monitor wastage, and flag shortages for re-ordering.
• Keep your section and areas clean, stocked, and compliant with safety standards.
