Job summary

Afrikana Kitchen in London is seeking Back of House Team Members to help launch BAD BIRD, an exciting fried chicken brand built around great food, strong teamwork and unforgettable guest experiences.

As a Back of House Team Member, you will prepare and cook menu items, work across stations, keep the kitchen clean and stocked, and support the Front of House to ensure smooth service. Full training starts day one, with flexible full-time or part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a busy kitchen and follow recipes and procedures.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude and reliable attendance.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all menu items to BAD BIRD's quality standards.
• Bread, season and fry chicken following recipes and procedures.
• Assemble burgers, wraps, fries and meal boxes accurately.
• Ensure orders leave the kitchen fresh, hot and presentable.
• Work across different kitchen stations during service.
• Prepare ingredients and complete food prep before shifts.
• Keep workstation clean, organised and stocked.
• Collaborate with Front of House to maintain smooth service.
• Assist with deliveries when needed and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain food hygiene and allergen compliance at all times.
• Support teammates during busy periods and stay positive.

What's the role?

As a Back of House Team Member, you'll be at the heart of the kitchen, preparing and cooking the food that keeps our guests coming back for more. From coating chicken to building burgers and loading up fries, you'll help deliver every order to the highest standard while keeping the kitchen running smoothly.

• Follow food hygiene, allergen, health & safety and company procedures at all times.
• Support your teammates during busy periods and jump in wherever needed.
