Job summary

BAD BIRD is looking for Back of House Team Members to help launch a new fried chicken brand. You’ll be at the heart of the kitchen, cooking and preparing menu items, assembling burgers and fries, and ensuring each order is served hot and fresh.

You’ll work across kitchen stations, learn recipes and procedures, and contribute to a supportive team culture as the brand grows from day one.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment.
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
• Passionate about producing great food every time.
• Reliable, organised and ready to get stuck in.
• Able to stay calm under pressure.
• Willing to learn and develop new skills.
• Happy to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all menu items to BAD BIRD's quality standards.
• Bread, season and fry chicken following our recipes and cooking procedures.
• Assemble burgers, wraps, loaded fries and meal boxes accurately.
• Make sure every order leaves the kitchen fresh, hot and looking its best.
• Work across different kitchen stations during service.
• Prepare ingredients and complete food prep before each shift.
• Keep your workstation clean, organised and fully stocked.
• Work closely with the Front of House team to keep service running smoothly.
• Help receive and store deliveries when needed.
• Follow food hygiene, allergen, health & safety and company procedures at all times.
• Support your teammates during busy periods and jump in wherever needed.
• Bring positive energy to every shift and help create a kitchen culture everyone enjoys being part of.
