Job summary

Seymour John Ltd is recruiting a Business Development Executive in Telford. You’ll drive new B2B opportunities, open doors and build relationships across the haulage, logistics and transport sectors, selling services such as driver medicals and screening.

You’ll operate with a proactive, target-driven mindset and a focus on outbound prospecting. You’ll join a growing commercial team, working with the Head of Sales & Marketing to expand the customer base across the UK, while earning a £30,000

Qualifications

• B2B sales or business development experience within driver medicals, haulage, logistics, taxi, fleet, transport or related sectors.
• Commercial hunger with a track record of meeting or beating targets.
• Comfortable and confident when initiating outbound conversations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and win new B2B customers in the transport sector.
• Build your own pipeline through outbound prospecting and proactive calls.
• Engage decision-makers via phone and email and develop relationships with haulage, fleet and taxi clients.
• Follow up inbound enquires and convert opportunities into customers.
• Grow existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling and maintain CRM records.
• Support marketing and lead-generation campaigns and represent the business at events.
