Job summary

JCA Recruitment Specialists is supporting a UK PLC in recruiting a Business Development Manager with a background in B2B field sales and an interest in cycling. The role covers NE, CA, DH, SR, TS, DL, LA, BD, BB, PR, FY, L, WN, BL territories and involves full product training from day one.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in selling services, a proven track record in both new business and account management, and a passion for cycling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of selling a service or solution-based offerings
• A track record of both account management and new business development
• Strong commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset
• A sales-driven, energetic, sociable and proactive personality with confidence to pursue opportunities
• A passion or basic interest for cycling, matched by sales and relationship-building focus
• Ability to communicate at all levels persuasively
• Strong commercial acumen
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets
• Excellent selling skills built on trust and reliability

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities and expand the client base - Field based
• Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of the cycling industry and services
• Own the full sales process from generating leads to closing
• Build strong relationships with existing customers and maximise account growth
• Collaborate with trainers and colleagues to understand services and market
• Attend events to network and generate leads
• Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospective and existing customers
• Deliver tailored solution-led sales presentations
• Manage your own diary and workload effectively
• Grow the territory towards 60% account management and 40% new business
• Work with a supportive management team
• Focus on field sales with no telesales responsibilities
