Job summary

Viking EMEA in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to support the UK sales region. You will handle initial customer contacts and deliver exceptional service to sustain growth.

You will manage orders from product selection through quoting and sales order entry up to delivery of materials. You will build strong relationships with customers, sales and technical support teams, and the Credit Department in Luxembourg, using SAP to process orders and coordinate

Qualifications

• This position requires experience in a commercial or customer service environment (ideally B-to-B).
• Technical aptitude and experience in a technical environment (construction would be an advantage).
• Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of international business would be an advantage.
• You are at ease with phone communication for order clarification.
• Excellent command of English; other languages advantageous.
• SAP experience is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and you are a good team player.
• Fast learner, dynamic multi-tasker and enjoy a busy office environment.
• Good knowledge and experience with IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with price, lead time, product information, technical documents, etc. to influence decision making and maximize sales.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes based on pricing guidelines from the commercial team.
• Understand and convert customer requirements into orders in our SAP ERP system.
• Process and follow up on incoming orders according to our established procedures.
• Cooperate closely with the credit department to ensure reliable order fulfilment.
• Liaise with the replenishment team and occasionally with suppliers.
• Coordinate shipments to customers – liaise with the warehouse / carriers if necessary.
• Check daily reports and act accordingly.
• Additional administrative tasks upon request from the Local Operations Manager.
