Job summary

Scrumconnect seeks an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer for multi-environment cloud operations and scalable digital services. You will build and optimise AWS infrastructure, pipelines, and serverless architectures, collaborating with developers, architects, testers, and delivery teams in a remote UK setting.

The role focuses on secure, scalable cloud operations, FinOps governance, and accessibility of front-end services, including React and microservices. UK remote with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience managing multiple environments within AWS.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Experience supporting modern architectures including React, microservices, Lambda, and Kafka.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of AWS networking concepts (Transit Gateway, PrivateLink).
• Experience administering IAM, MFA and security controls.
• Knowledge of Kong Enterprise API gateway and cloud governance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and manage AWS environments across dev/test/stage/production.
• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Git-based tooling.
• Manage AWS infrastructure for React front-ends, microservices, Lambda, and Kafka.
• Support ETL processes and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) integrations.
• Implement secure networking patterns including Transit Gateway and PrivateLink.
• Deploy and manage Kong Enterprise API Gateway.
• Administer IAM, MFA, and developer permissions.
• Ensure resources are tagged per FinOps standards and governance.
• Monitor performance, availability, and reliability across environments.
• Collaborate to improve automation and deployment efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployments.
• Contribute to cloud security best practices and accessibility alignment.
