Job summary

Scrumconnect is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to support large-scale digital services in a complex cloud environment. You will build, maintain, and optimise AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud operations across environments, collaborating with software developers, architects, testers, and delivery teams.

The role requires strong AWS, IaC, and CI/CD experience, with modern architectures including React, microservices, serverless, and Kafka integrations.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing, deploying, and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience managing multiple environments within AWS.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Experience supporting modern architectures (React front-end, microservices, serverless, Kafka).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of AWS networking concepts (Transit Gateway, PrivateLink).
• Experience administering IAM, MFA, and security controls.
• Knowledge of API management platforms such as Kong Enterprise.
• Experience implementing cloud governance and FinOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Support setup, configuration, and management of multiple AWS environments across dev, test, staging, production.
• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Git-based tooling.
• Manage AWS infrastructure powering React front-end, microservices, Lambda, and Kafka integrations.
• Support ETL processes and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.
• Implement secure networking patterns including Transit Gateway and PrivateLink.
• Assist deployment and management of Kong Enterprise API Gateway.
• Administer IAM, MFA, and security controls for development teams.
• Ensure resources are tagged and governed under FinOps standards.
• Monitor performance, availability, and reliability across environments.
• Collaborate to improve automation, deployment efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues across clouds.
• Contribute to cloud security best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support accessible digital services aligned with WCAG 2.2 AAA.
