Job summary

Aws Emea Sarl (Uk Branch) in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Change & Release Manager to govern migration activities during the Run & Operate phase and manage the HMRC DCE estate. You will lead the Change & Release Management function, ensure controlled transitions, and align with ITIL-based governance.

role involves chairing CAB meetings, coordinating with AWS engineers and HMRC stakeholders, and ensuring auditable, risk‑assessed production releases.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Change & Release Management in large IT transformations or cloud adoption programs.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL service management frameworks, particularly Change Enablement, Release, and Deployment Management.
• Proven ability to chair CAB meetings and manage complex change schedules across multiple teams and suppliers.
• Experience with AWS/public cloud environments and cloud-native deployment patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve Change & Release Management processes aligned with governance and best practices.
• Govern end-to-end lifecycle of changes and releases (assessment, planning, approval, deployment, validation, closure).
• Coordinate platform upgrades and implement automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD) within HMRC guardrails.
• Oversee risk assessments, incident and problem management, and PIRs for production changes.
• Lead CAB meetings and manage scheduling across internal teams and suppliers.
