Job summary

ADE Recruitment is seeking an experienced Aviation Welder in Lancashire to join a busy aerospace manufacturing team. The role focuses on TIG and orbital welding of aviation components, operating to tight tolerances and reading engineering drawings.

You will work on productionised parts and support new product introductions in a fast‑paced environment. Expected to work on days, 07:30–16:00, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary (£36,000–£40,000), plus overtime, pension, life assurance and

Qualifications

• Trade qualified with a recognised apprenticeship (City and Guilds etc.)
• Experience in TIG welding (manual, automatic and Orbital) to aircraft standards
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience of fitting small diameter tubes for Orbital welding to precise tolerances

Responsibilities

• Weld aviation components to tight tolerances and to aircraft standards
• Perform TIG welding (manual, automatic and Orbital) and ensure welding controls are followed
• Read, interpret and follow batch cards and engineering drawings
• Maintain machinery, jigs and fixtures to keep a clean, safe working environment
• Collaborate with Operations to reduce welding non-conformances and drive improvements
