Job summary

Technical Placements is seeking a TIG Welder for a precision components manufacturer in the aerospace and power generation sectors. You will weld aerospace parts and large turbine components to customer specifications, with training and clear career progression on offer.

The role operates on a 2-shift rotation, with an hourly rate of £18.92 plus bonus and overtime. Expect 37 hours per week, a strong pension, transport benefits, and on-site parking, with immediate start available.

Qualifications

• TIG welding experience, ideally aerospace or gas turbines.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Competent with hand/air tools and measuring systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow method specifications.
• Strong attention to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• TIG weld aerospace and industrial gas turbine components to customer specifications.
• Perform critical tube welding and vane assembly tasks.
• Inspect work to ensure quality and compliance.
• Complete batch cards and documentation.
• Use hand and air tools and understand basic engineering drawings and method specifications.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality.
