Job summary

Mane Contract Services seeks an experienced Production Operative for a night shift in an aerospace manufacturing environment in Dunstable, UK. The role involves assembling and welding aerospace components using resistance and TIG welding, reading engineering drawings, and operating lathes, milling and drilling machines.

You will work with stainless steel, titanium and Inconel, maintaining quality and safety, while supporting continuous improvement and teamwork on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and routing instructions.
• Flexible and reliable approach to teamwork.
• Good communication and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and weld aerospace components using resistance/seam and automated TIG welding equipment.
• Work with materials including stainless steel, titanium and Inconel.
• Form and trim bellows using automated, semi-automated and manual machinery.
• Work with weld testing with the laboratory to meet requirements.
• Read engineering drawings and route cards to operate equipment.
• Operate lathes, milling and drilling machines.
• Maintain operator verification approvals and follow procedures.
• Work to quality and production standards and support improvements.
• Keep shop floor clean and safe; follow health & safety procedures.
