Job summary

Serco in the United Kingdom is seeking an IMOS Logistics Supervisor to lead tool control services in support of aircraft maintenance at RNAS Culdrose. You will supervise personnel and manage tool accountability, ensuring the availability, calibration, and compliance of tools and equipment for servicing and defect rectification.

You will coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and logistics teams to meet schedules, perform audits, and keep accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in logistics, aviation, defence, or military settings.
• Knowledge of tool control processes and equipment management.
• Proficient IT skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
• Understanding of COSHH and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Unit Tool Control team in safe, efficient daily operations.
• Manage issue, return, and accountability of tools and equipment for aircraft maintenance.
• Ensure tool control procedures comply with company, contractual, and aviation standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and tool tracking systems.
• Conduct routine audits, stock checks, and toolbox inspections.
• Oversee calibration management and testing equipment to ensure readiness.
• Coordinate with engineering to provide tools for maintenance schedules.
• Prepare reports and documentation for tool control activities.
• Support audits and address findings to maintain compliance.
• Serve as focal point for tool control guidance to engineers and managers.
