Job summary

Serco Defence is seeking a Supervisor Aircraft Engineer (Mechanical) at RNAS Culdrose, Helston. You will oversee Merlin aircraft activities to ensure safety, airworthiness and regulatory compliance, while guiding colleagues through training and mentoring to maintain high standards.

You will ensure proper authorization for tasks, monitor work quality, and uphold Health and Safety, COSHH, and regulatory requirements as part of our mission to support national defence and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Recognised supervisory qualification(s) on aircraft, with mechanical experience.
• Experience with Merlin aircraft systems/components preferred.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety practices and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees are authorised to carry out contracted tasks in line with regulations.
• Ensure engineering tasks follow current policy and statutory requirements.
• Monitor work to ensure safety, timeliness, and quality.
• Identify risks, complaints, and quality concerns to management.
• Support development of colleagues through mentoring and training.
