Job summary

Line Up Aviation is seeking a Duty Manager for a permanent position in the UK. The role requires a CAF/EASA engineering background, leadership and management skills, and will cover managerial and administrative duties across stations in Bedfordshire.

The successful candidate will oversee health and safety, staff development and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include rostering, backfill planning, and ensuring all procedures meet EASA/CAA standards.

Qualifications

• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Supervisory/managerial experience
• Knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning
• Relevant Aircraft Engineering experience
• Technical aviation experience and certifying aircraft under UK/EASA
• Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (CAA/EASA)

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of Health & Safety policy and ensure staff practice approved methods to minimise risk.
• Effectively manage, develop and motivate the team; carry out staff appraisals.
• Ensure good relationships between line stations and interfacing departments.
• Aide in meeting station, EASA and CAA regulations.
• Ensure procedures are followed and reviewed for regulatory compliance.
• Maintain shift logs, brief oncoming shift, and capture incidents and updates.
• Review rosters 14 days in advance to ensure staffing and skills.
• Arrange backfill and overtime as directed by the Station Manager.
• Complete required documents and reports and verify equipment returns.
• Deputise for the Station Manager in their absence.
