Job summary

ABM Aviation UK Ltd at Heathrow Airport is seeking a Duty Manager to lead day-to-day operations with a focus on safety, security, on-time performance and efficiency. You will manage shift teams, briefings, and actions to meet service levels for airline partners.

The role requires strong leadership, customer service experience in aviation, and the ability to coordinate resources across shifts while maintaining ABM standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory/management experience in aviation or related customer service.
• Experience managing shift patterns in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong safety, security and regulatory awareness (HSE/DFT/HAL).
• Ability to lead multiple teams and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily team briefings at shift start to align on customer needs and equipment.
• Ensure cleaning standards meet contract SLAs.
• Perform final cleaning sweeps on aircraft and rectify gaps in standards.
• Identify non-compliant processes and propose solutions with senior management.
• Ensure adequate resources for all shifts, including overtime and holiday cover.
• Maintain relationships with client airlines and stakeholders.
• Comply with HSE, DFT and HAL protocols and ABM guidelines.
• Ensure GSE and crew vehicles meet ABM standards.
• Submit delay reports promptly with investigations and escalation.
• Support senior management to meet airline SLAs and service standards.
• Maintain staff discipline and regulatory compliance.
• Coach teams to meet and exceed standards.
• Assist training to keep programmes up to date.
• Support ABM Operations Managers and Account Managers in delivering excellence.
