British Airways is seeking a Duty Engineer to lead and coordinate aircraft maintenance production at Heathrow, ensuring maintenance plans are followed and targets met. You’ll work with the Base Maintenance team to allocate tasks, monitor progress, and drive timely delivery of aircraft to customers.

You will provide technical feedback, escalate issues to specialists, support incident procedures, and champion quality standards while developing a high-performance engineering culture.

Formación

• Licence or degree or apprenticeship with demonstrable aircraft maintenance experience.
• Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Airport restricted zone access is essential for Terminal based role.
• Airside driving licence is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Part 145 maintenance at supervisory level.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver the operation to defined production targets ensuring adherence to the maintenance plan and aircraft compliance.
• Provide effective leadership of maintenance colleagues, setting and managing clear expectations to deliver the operation on the day.
• Allocate tasks as required by the maintenance plan.
• Provide support as first point of contact for operational colleagues and escalate to Satellite, Technical specialists, and Planning as appropriate.
• Support incident and accident management procedures.
• Champion high quality standards, monitor trends, and coordinate continuous improvement to define and implement permanent solutions.
• Ensure communication of aircraft in work status, and coordinate requirements between Planning and Production.
• Capture and analyse data, ensuring performance targets are achieved against operational measures.
• Engage with and manage internal and external key stakeholders and customer relationships; develop a high-performance team culture.
