Job Title: AV Support Technician

We are seeking an experienced AV Support Technician to join our London (Canary Wharf) team. This role involves representing our client onsite and providing comprehensive audio visual support services for meeting rooms, including system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic communication systems such as video conferencing, meeting room support, event support, and control systems.

The technician will be responsible for diagnosing faults, performing first-line repairs, testing, and operating all aspects of audio visual, video conference, display, and presentation technologies. Ensuring the correct and efficient operation of meeting room AV systems to minimize downtime and maximize performance is crucial.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled AV Support Technician to enhance and drive service quality within an established operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly and courteously to all customer requests, working within service level agreements and contractual timeframes.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults with AV, VC, AC, and TP systems efficiently.
  • Ensure all systems are fully functional, minimizing downtime through troubleshooting and effective handovers.
  • Support high-profile meetings and maintain accurate hardware inventory records.
  • Provide advice, support, and training to staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate company and customer documentation.
  • Perform all work to company standards, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain tidiness, cable management, safety, and orderliness in service areas and meeting rooms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Person Specification
  • Knowledge of communications, networking, AV systems, and components.
  • Experience with touch screen and web-based technology.
  • Experience with IP and telephony-based video conferencing systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized, flexible, and able to prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • High computer literacy.
  • Experience in testing, fault finding, servicing, and maintaining electronic AV systems.
