Job summary

SAAB UK seeks a Flight Control Systems Engineer to develop, test and deploy safety-critical flight software for unmanned and manned aircraft. You will contribute to requirements, verification and validation, and conduct real-world flight testing from our Bedfordshire facility.

You will use MATLAB/Simulink to build flight control laws and data manipulation algorithms and embedded software for autopilots, working in a multidisciplinary team with a strong quality focus.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree in aerospace engineering or similar.
• Hands-on experience in designing and commissioning control systems.
• Experience using MATLAB/Simulink for developing algorithms and control laws.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test safety-critical flight control software for aircraft systems.
• Deploy software to target hardware and conduct real-world flight tests.
• Contribute to requirements definition and verification/validation activities.
