Job summary

Randstad Digital in Carmarthenshire, South West Wales, seeks a hands-on IT Manager to own local IT operations across the client environment. You will manage daily infrastructure, bridge IT and OT, and coordinate with external partners.

The role requires 3–5 years in IT administration or IT management; you’ll oversee Windows Server, AD, M365, virtualization, firewalls, and networking while acting as the sole local IT resource and may travel between sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in IT administration, system engineering, or IT management.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, M365, Hyper-V/VMware, firewalls, LAN/WAN/VPN, and backups.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills; able to act as the sole local IT resource.
• Willing to travel between sites; OT environment experience (PLC, MES, SCADA) is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• IT Operations: Oversee system performance, security, backups, M365, user administration, and network topology.
• Vendor & Project Leadership: Manage external IT providers, service SLAs, and live hardware refreshes.
• Governance: Partner with the local CFO on site budgets and align with global Group IT strategies.
