Job summary

AWD online has an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager to lead day-to-day IT operations across the UK technology environment, focusing on Microsoft 365, Windows Server, infrastructures and cyber security alongside supplier relationships.

The role suits an experienced IT professional ready to take ownership of systems, suppliers and improvements while staying actively involved in hands-on IT support and administration across Coventry and surrounding regions.

Qualifications

Senior IT support, infrastructure or systems administration experience.
Windows Server administration experience.
Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration experience.
Experience with Hyper‑V virtualization.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (VLANs, switches, firewalls).
Experience with Microsoft Intune.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Approachable, practical and able to manage priorities independently.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Support: Manage Windows Server environments, AD, Dell servers, Hyper‑V, file shares and group policies.
Microsoft 365 Administration: Administer M365 and Intune, supporting devices and security.
System Monitoring: Monitor system health, backups and critical services.
Network and Security Support: Support Sophos firewall, Aruba switches, Wi‑Fi and cyber security best practices.
Business Applications: Support Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 and Power BI reporting.
Supplier Management: Manage external IT providers and vendors, obtain quotations and value.
IT Planning and Assets: Assist with budgeting, asset management and improvements.
