Job summary

Langford View in Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced Chef to design menus and cook fresh, seasonal meals for residents. You’ll oversee all kitchen operations, lead a small team and maintain nutrition, hygiene and safety standards with autonomy over menu development.

This full-time role (40 hours/week) runs 6:30am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. Competitive hourly rate £16.49, weekend enhancement available, and benefits typical of a not-for-profit care provider.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen serving large numbers.
• Ability to plan menus for specialist diets.
• Level 3 Diploma preferred or working towards.
• Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team.
• Budgeting and stock management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen and catering operations for residents and guests.
• Manage a small kitchen team and ensure nutrition, hygiene and safety standards.
• Develop nutritious, high-quality menus with autonomy over design.
• Occasionally cater for day centres or community activities; some weekend work.
