Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice in Ashford. The post offers structured, well-supported clinical sessions for an autonomous ACP in a primary care setting with clear workflows and steady patient demand.

You will work with GPs, nurses and the wider clinical team to provide comprehensive assessments, make safe clinical decisions and contribute to high-quality outcomes. A mix of urgent care, routine appointments and clinical triage is envisaged.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner training at Level 7.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage
• Prescribing independently where qualified
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records
