Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work for a GP practice in Carshalton. You will deliver autonomous clinical assessments, safe decision-making and efficient patient management within a structured primary care environment.

You will join an established multidisciplinary team and run your own clinics, supporting both urgent and routine patient demand. The practice offers clear pathways, strong administrative support and a smooth workflow to ensure effective

Qualifications

• ACP qualification at Level 7 or postgraduate level.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) preferred.
• Recent experience in primary/urgent care settings.
• Strong autonomous decision-making and clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct acute and same-day access clinics.
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified).
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows.
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system.
