Job summary

Locum Ready is recruiting a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice in Andover. You will work alongside GPs and wider clinical staff to provide comprehensive assessments and safe clinical decisions in a primary care setting with steady patient demand.

You will manage same-day and routine ACP appointments, perform assessments and diagnoses, and contribute to timely triage and safe prescribing where qualified. Flexible long- or short-term sessions are available.

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Clinical Practitioner training completed.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300) desirable.
• Experience in primary, urgent, or emergency care settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic; Enhanced DBS and up-to-date training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
