Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner to provide locum support in a Knutsford GP practice. The role involves autonomous clinical assessments, safe decision making, and contributing to positive patient outcomes.

The ACP will work alongside GPs and nursing staff across urgent care, routine appointments and clinical triage, with flexible, ad-hoc or regular session options and long-term placements available.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner training at Level 7.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
