Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work with a GP practice in Stratford upon Avon. The role offers structured, well-supported clinical sessions for an autonomous ACP in a primary care setting with clear workflows and steady patient demand.

You will assess, diagnose and treat, provide safe clinical decisions, and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes alongside GPs, nurses, and wider clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner level training required.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training required.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage
• Prescribing independently where qualified
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records
