Job summary

Halfords Autocentre Apprenticeship offers hands-on experience across servicing, inspections, diagnostics and complex repairs on a wide range of car makes and models. You will learn safety, engine and electrical systems, and develop problem-solving skills by diagnosing faults and carrying out practical repairs, while combining college study with real work in a busy workshop.

The programme runs a 5-day week with day-release at college, and you will be supported by mentors and colleagues in a

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving abilities and practical understanding of vehicle systems.
• Interest in cars and eagerness to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician.
• Willingness to work hands-on with automotive components and use diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing and inspections across a variety of car makes and models.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic methods and equipment.
• Replace parts and carry out repairs under supervision.
• Work as part of a team in a busy Halfords Autocentre workshop.
