Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Edinburgh seeks an Automotive Technical Trainer to deliver high-quality training for apprentices and commercial courses at its sector-leading training centres. The role focuses on the latest electrical diagnosis and modern automotive technology, requiring a recognised qualification and strong teaching capability.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team, with induction and ongoing training provided.

Qualifications

• An industry-recognised qualification in Automotive Maintenance and Repair Level 3 Light Vehicle or equivalent.
• Up-to-date knowledge of modern automotive technology.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach to training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training to apprentices and commercial courses at GTG training centres.
• Ensure training reflects current industry methods and standards.
• Carry out assessments and maintain trainee records.
• Keep skills up to date through CPD and new technologies.
• Deliver training in line with QA processes and health and safety obligations.
• Provide welfare support and guidance to apprentices and employers.
