Halfords Careers in Dundee is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Centre Manager, lead the workshop team and enhance the customer journey. You will combine hands-on mechanical work with leadership to drive profitability in a busy service environment.

The role offers a base of £35,000 with an uncapped bonus scheme and average extra earnings of £6,000 per year, bringing on-target earnings up to £41,000, plus extensive benefits. 5 days a week with progression opportunities and training.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through effective management and leadership.
• Experience in coaching, training, and developing colleagues in the moment.
• Strong technical knowledge with Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of workshop operations, diagnostics and maintenance processes.
• Bring your own tools and put them to great use in a busy workshop.
• Experience maintaining Health & Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the workshop team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Support the Centre Manager with daily sales and customer service tasks.
• Balance hands-on mechanical work with leadership and admin duties.
• Drive profitability and ensure high standards of workshop operations.
