Job summary

Halfords is recruiting an Assistant Manager to work alongside the Centre Manager, delivering strong workshop leadership and excellent customer service. You will divide your time between the workshop and assisting daily sales and service targets, with progression and training schemes available.

The role supports business performance with on-target earnings up to £44,200, a base of £34,000–£36,000, and an uncapped monthly bonus averaging £8,200 annually.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through effective management and leadership.
• Experience in coaching, training, and developing colleagues in the moment.
• Strong technical/mechanical knowledge with relevant Level 2/3 qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage workshop operations and staff to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Coach, train and develop colleagues in real time to improve service quality.
• Collaborate with the Centre Manager on daily sales, customer service, and workshop efficiency.
• Utilise own tools in a busy, well-equipped workshop while maintaining safety standards.
