Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking a proactive Service Advisor to join our customer-facing team. You will ensure a fantastic experience for service and vehicle repair customers, from first contact through to completion.

The role suits someone with prior customer service experience who thrives on solving issues and delivering positive outcomes. Hours are full-time, Monday to Friday 8am–5.30pm with alternate Saturdays 8am–12pm.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering great customer service and handling inquiries.
• Comfort with basic IT systems and applications.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
• Strong communication and clear information delivery to customers.
• Good organisational skills to schedule work and keep records.
• Ability to prioritise workload and follow defined processes.
• Accurate data entry and keeping customer details up to date.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Handle all customer requirements for service and vehicle repairs professionally.
• Liaise with workshop and bodyshop to progress work through the system.
• Manage computer-based jobs, purchasing and invoicing while protecting customer and company interests.
• Inform customers of faults/repairs with clear, accurate solutions.
• Support dissatisfied customers with empathy and problem-solving.
• Maintain accurate customer records including vehicle details and service history.
• Know aftersales products/services and upsell where appropriate.
• Keep the customer database up to date at all times.
