Job summary

Absolute Personnel Ltd is seeking a Receptionist/Service Advisor for a busy family-run garage and MOT centre just outside Oxford city centre. The role is Monday to Friday with no weekend work, offering up to £30,000 depending on experience and a friendly, customer-focused environment.

You will greet customers, book jobs and MOTs, assist with invoicing and admin, and support the workshop with accurate data entry. A UK driving licence is desirable in case of yard movement.

Qualifications

• Proven office experience in a professional setting.
• Experience within the automotive sector is desirable.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Excellent communication skills in either formal or informal settings.
• Experience with data entry and clerical duties requiring attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
• Desirable to hold a UK driving licence as occasional vehicle movement may be required.

Responsibilities

• Meeting and greeting customers.
• Answering telephone calls and enquiries and booking in jobs and MOTs.
• Checking in customer vehicles and details against bookings.
• Booking work into the diary and raising job cards using the KIS system.
• Updating customers on progress and costs during the day.
• Parts ordering and invoice payments.
• Raising customer invoices.
• Printing service sheets and compiling paperwork for vehicle collection.
• General office duties and administration.
