Job summary

Canterbury Mercedes-Benz, part of Lookers, seeks a General Manager to lead dealership performance across sales and service. You will drive world-class customer service, manage resources, and coach managers to exceed targets while upholding brand standards.

The role calls for proven leadership at GM level, strategic planning, and a customer-centric approach to sustain growth and profitability in a competitive market.

Qualifications

• Experience at General Manager / Head of Business level or equivalent automotive management role.
• Solid understanding of EV vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Develop a customer service driven environment and culture through regular communication and coaching of teams.
• Provide clear leadership by ensuring vision and objectives are understood and communicated.
• Train and develop department managers in line with organisational requirements.
• Agree objectives and work standards with department managers and review performance.
• Develop and monitor the business plan for sales areas to meet objectives, margins and market share.
