A newly created role within a major UK organisation. You will help build an internal automation support function from the ground up. This is the first hire into the team, so you will put the foundations in place. That includes bringing support back in‑house, setting processes, improving governance and creating a support model that actually works for the business. Early on you will be hands‑on with the Power Platform and small pieces of development. As the team grows there is clear progression into leadership and ownership of standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a new automation support function
  • Set up processes, support workflows, documentation and governance that do not yet exist
  • Own the service transition from third party providers back into the business
  • Carry out hands‑on Power Platform support and development in the early phase
  • Oversee ServiceNow as the core intake and integration point for automation workflows
  • Define what good support looks like and drive consistency across stakeholders
  • Support, coach and manage junior and contract resources as the function expands
  • Reduce reliance on external providers and deliver cost savings by moving work in‑house
Key Requirements
  • Strong hands‑on Power Platform experience including Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Experience using or supporting ServiceNow, ideally including workflow or integration understanding
  • Comfortable working with low‑code tools, APIs and general automation platforms
  • UiPath experience helpful but not essential
  • Able to deliver hands‑on fixes and enhancements, or a developer ready to step into a lead position
  • Strong process, documentation and governance discipline
  • Confident managing expectations and working with stakeholders
  • Able to bring structure to an area that currently has little
