Job summary

Halfords, the UK’s leading motoring and cycling retailer, is seeking an Assistant Manager at its Leicester Autocentre. You will share responsibility with the Centre Manager for day-to-day operations, staff leadership and driving workshop profitability while maintaining excellent customer service.

You will balance workshop duties with sales support, mentoring technicians, and guiding processes to ensure high standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through effective management and leadership.
• Experience in coaching, training, and developing colleagues on the shop floor.
• Strong technical/mechanical knowledge with a related qualification or hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Centre Manager and help drive profitability, customer focus and service standards.
• Divide time between the workshop and front of house to support sales and service.
• Lead and develop technicians and colleagues to deliver quality vehicle maintenance.
