Job summary

Halfords Autocentre apprenticeship in Oxfordshire offers hands-on training across servicing, inspections and diagnostics. You will work on a range of vehicles, learning to diagnose faults and perform repairs to high standards.

The programme combines practical shop floor work with day release at college, 40 hours per week, and clear opportunities for career development in a fast-paced Autocentre environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents).
• Friendly, helpful and team-oriented with a drive to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician.
• Interest in cars and solving problems.
• Able to use hands and have a strong, fit attitude for manual work.
• Knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance and enjoyment in fixing cars.
• Knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair vehicles to the highest standard.
• Work on a variety of vehicles—from servicing to diagnostics.
• Develop skills in mechanical, electrical and diagnostic techniques.
• Collaborate with colleagues and mentors within the Autocentre.
• Adapt to changing work due to evolving vehicle technology.
