Job summary

AWD online is hiring a Support Worker to assist autistic adults and individuals with learning disabilities in a supported living setting in Nottingham. This full-time role involves 37.5 hours per week with rotating early, late, long day, and night shifts, including nights, to support independence and community participation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
• Positive, encouraging and person-centred approach.
• Creative, enthusiastic and committed attitude.
• Enjoys sharing skills and knowledge with others.
• Willing to support people with complex physical needs and wheelchair users.
• Able to work varying shifts on a rota basis.
• The right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Community Participation: Encourage people to develop positive relationships and take part as equal members of the local community.
• Personal Care Support: Prompt and support people with daily tasks including personal care.

• Complex Needs Support: Be willing to support people with complex physical needs and wheelchair users.
• Team Working: Work with the registered manager and wider team to provide high-quality support.
