SALARY: £25,740 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, East Midlands

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 Hours per Week. Varying Shifts on a Rota Basis: Early/Late/Long Day/Mid-Shifts between 7:00-21:00 and Night Shift 21:00-7:00 and 21:00-9:30

JOB OVERVIEW

As a Support Worker, you will promote independence, positive relationships and active participation in the local community, while providing person-centred care that supports each person’s aims, needs and objectives.

The Support Worker will be part of a friendly team that takes a creative and proactive approach to care, helping people with everyday tasks, personal care prompts and meaningful activities that support a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Support Worker include:

  • Person-Centred Support: Help people achieve their aims and objectives through creative, proactive and person-centred support
  • Promoting Independence: Support people to live fulfilled and happy lives in their own homes and within the community
  • Community Participation: Encourage people to develop positive relationships and take part as equal members of the local community
  • Personal Care Support: Prompt and support people with everyday tasks, including personal care where required
  • Activities and Interests: Take part in a range of interests and activities that contribute to a healthy, well-balanced and fulfilling lifestyle
  • Complex Needs Support: Be willing to support people with complex physical needs and wheelchair users
  • Team Working: Work collaboratively with the registered manager and wider team to provide consistent, high-quality support
