Job summary

Rochdale Town Hall is recruiting a Teaching Assistant Level 1 to work across the school, including the Rainbow and Rainforest units, and EYFS to Year 6. You will support pupils with a range of learning needs under supervision of teaching staff.

The post is fixed term, term-time only, 19.5 hours per week, grade 2 and salary £18,650 to £18,943. Enthusiasm, warmth and a proactive approach to inclusion are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have childcare qualifications.
• Experience supporting children with learning difficulties.
• Background in behaviour support preferred.
• Able to deliver a differentiated curriculum for inclusive learning.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the school from EYFS to Year 6, including Rainbow and Rainforest units.
• Work under the direction of teaching staff and contribute to inclusive learning.
• Provide 1:1 support and assist small groups as required.
