Job summary

Rochdale Town Hall is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to work across the school including mainstream, Nursery, Reception, Rainbow autism unit and Rainforest complex needs unit. You will be supervised by teaching staff and contribute to a differentiated curriculum to support learning.

The post is 32.5 hours per week on a fixed term contract, SCP 3–4, with a salary of £18,650–£18,943.

Qualifications

• Have the appropriate childcare qualifications.
• Experience in supporting children with learning difficulties and a background in behaviour support is desirable.
• Enthusiastic, warm and friendly, with the ability to work in a 1:1 setting and small groups.

Responsibilities

• Be well motivated, have a positive attitude and be emotionally resilient.
• Have the ability to work in a 1:1 situation and to teach small groups.
• Have the ability to work in all areas of the school starting at EYFS up to Year 6 including the Rainbow Unit, the Rainforest Unit and Nursery.
